1. INTRODUCTION

RG Media (and its affiliates and group companies including but not limited to Altcoin Desk) is committed to protecting your personal data and complying with applicable data protection laws. This policy clarifies the data processing activities undertaken by us when you visit or access our website (“Platform”), sign up for our newsletter that is operated by us, use our service, and contact us by email and phone.

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) forms a legally binding agreement between you, the user of our online platforms and services, and us. In Brazil, RG Media complies with the General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados – LGPD).  

2. WHO CAN USE THE PLATFORM?

The Platform is intended for a general audience and are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We neither target nor knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. This is reinforced through a “Users must be 13+” clause in our Terms of Service, along with a dedicated email address for parental contact regarding data removal.

3. WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?

6. DATA RETENTION

Published or publicly available content may be retained indefinitely. Cookies and usage data are retained in accordance with our Cookie Policy. Contact form submissions are retained indefinitely unless a verified request for deletion is received. Job applications and curriculum vitae (CVs) are retained indefinitely unless and until our retention policy is updated. We may also retain certain information beyond the stated periods where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect our rights. Your Personal Data may be transferred to and / or processed in countries outside your home jurisdiction, including the US, EU, UAE and Brazil (“Alternate Countries”), which will happen through us. We carry out such transfers only when lawful and necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations or comply with statutory requirements. By agreeing with this policy, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of such international data transfers. 

Whenever your Personal Data is transferred from your home country to an Alternate Country, we ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to UAE PDPL and GDPR. At present, users do not have automated means to access, rectify, or delete any data, as we do not maintain user accounts or collect personal identifiers.
