Loaded Lions, the iconic NFT collection from crypto trading platform Crypto.com, is ready to achieve the prestigious Guinness World Records by presenting the largest aerial display of a currency symbol through a drone show. This event will take place on 1 May 2025, 21:30 EST in Miami, Florida, with 1,200 multi-rotor drones displaying the newly released LION token symbol. The core idea behind the aerial display is to promote the NFT project’s recent expansion into cryptocurrency tokens.
“This is about to go down in Loaded Lions history as one of the most epic events!”, the team behind the Loaded Lions remarked in an X post.
Surprisingly, the aerial show will happen just a day before the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix. A part of the press release by Crypto.com read that the Loaded Lions will be “giving away $5,000 worth of LION to five lucky individuals who manage to take a photo or video of the drone show”. The winners are selected based on the “highest number of combined likes and reposts” of the drone show photos/videos shared on X.
Crypto.com launched the Loaded Lions profile picture NFTs in November 2021.
A similar event unfolded in March 2025, when crypto exchange Gemini created a 20-minute bitcoin-themed light show, making its imprint in the Guinness World Record for the largest aerial display of a currency symbol formed by drones. Loaded Lions is attempting to surpass Gemini with a longer and larger drone performance.
Drone shows promoting cryptocurrencies and crypto-related events have somehow become a common and innovative way to promote their ideas. Last year, a Dubai-based drone show company, Cyberdrone, displayed a drone show at the Plan B Forum in Lugano, Switzerland, showcasing the name of the event.
