The decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem 1inch has announced extensive infrastructure upgrades, including the launch of a new Trade Mode, providing a pro interface with a more structured look to 1inch Terminal.
1inch unveils platform upgrades
1inch, a prominent player in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, has announced a significant platform upgrade. The DeFi platform is known for providing efficient liquidity across more than 13 blockchain networks.
Developed as a direct response to community feedback, 1inch has been rebranded to nearly double the execution speed for intent-based swaps, aiming for a major step forward in user experience and platform efficiency.
The analysis report following the launch of 1inch.com during last year’s rebrand facilitated the decisions to refine the features to optimize performance and usability. The following upgrade gives a boost to its swap execution speed across its infrastructure and APIs, as per their official statement.
“At 1inch, we have been innovating in the DeFi space since introducing DEX aggregation to the market in 2019, and our success is predicated on our ability to maintain that balance,” said Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch.
Clarity and control with Trade Mode
1inch.com’s Trade Mode is reintroducing a dedicated, more structured interface for professional trading workflows that will provide more clarity and control. The feature emphasizes transparent trade visibility and ‘explicit execution settings.’
The notable advantages include users benefiting from executing classic swaps with configurable parameters, placing and managing limit orders with full lifecycle tracking, and customizing gas and slippage on a per-trade basis.
The users can view the integrated price charts, market context, and inspecting routing paths before execution. This new dedicated entry point is aimed specifically at serving the needs of advanced traders.
Kunz emphasized the importance of this user-centric approach: “Today’s raft of user-centric enhancements is designed to deliver greater clarity, control, and performance. We heard you, we built, and today we ship.”
Previously known as 1inch Pro, an advanced interface introduced in October 2025 – expected to offer more granular execution options and advanced order functionality – has now transitioned to 1inch Terminal.
Swap Speed Doubled
Beyond the user interface improvements, 1inch delivers material infrastructure-wide performance enhancements. Faster intent-based swap execution with the median execution time has been trimmed down from 26 seconds to 14 seconds.
Crucially, 25% of swaps are now settling in under 9 seconds, all while maintaining the platform’s non-custodial model.
