The crypto-native travel booking platform Travala has launched global car rental bookings after partnering with travel technology provider CarTrawler. The new feature allows users to book rental cars directly through the platform, expanding Travala’s services beyond flights, stays, and activities.
Travala expands travel offerings
Travala said the new integration gives users access to more than 50,000 car rental locations across over 150 countries. The inventory is aggregated from more than 1,700 corporate and independent rental providers, including well-known brands such as Hertz and Avis.
Travala provides millions of accommodation listings, flights, and travel activities through its platform. The launch also comes after a strong year for the company. Travala pulled in over $113 million in gross revenue in 2025.
Juan Otero, Travala’s CEO, called the new car rentals launch a real game-changer for the whole Travala setup. He went on to say that teaming up with CarTrawler lets them properly connect old-school travel booking with the crypto world by giving people access to a huge selection of car rental choices right there on the platform.
Expanding toward a one-stop travel platform
Founded in 2017, Travala initially started as a hotel booking platform but has gradually expanded its services to cover more parts of the travel experience.
The company rolled out flights and activities back in 2021 and then followed up with the launch of Concierge, a premium service built specifically for high-net-worth travelers looking for that extra level of luxury. Towards the end of 2025, Travala added multi-city flight bookings and is now adding car rentals into the mix, too, all bookable right there on the platform.
Through the partnership, CarTrawler provides the infrastructure that powers the car rental marketplace. The company currently supports more than 320 travel partners globally, including major airlines and travel brands.
