Tether’s next frontier: From stablecoins to QVAC Health app

When blockchain was initially used primarily for crypto transactions, some platforms repurposed its use case for health and wellness data storage. If you are in the industry, you might have bumped into a bunch of such projects like Patientory. Now, stablecoin issuer Tether has launched a landmark AI-based health app, QVAC Health.

Although the app is built within the QVAC ecosystem, a decentralized AI platform, the data shared on the health app is not stored on-chain.

Also, there are multiple blockchain-based move-to-earn web3 lifestyle or health apps such as STEPN, Sweat Economy, Genopets, Fitment, Walken, and more. However, Tethers’ QVAC Health app is about collecting and organizing user health data in a safe and private zone.

What does Tether’s QVAC Health AI platform provide?

Tether’s QVAC Health uses decentralized AI technology to manage health metrics. As Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, stated, the health and wellness platform has AI running locally on users’ devices, and their health-related data stays 100% private. This means, health data remains on the mobile phone or other devices.

When you download the QVAC Health app, an AI model also gets downloaded that will be stored on your phone/laptop. You can ask any health-related questions on the app’s chat interface, such as “Why do I feel tired after taking stairs?”  The QVAC Health app uses the on-device AI to comprehend the question and provide answers according to your queries.

The on-device AI does not send your health information to any cloud servers. By contrast, ChatGPT works on a cloud server, and the information we type there is sent to the provider’s servers. However, on the QVAC Health app, the AI model stays on your device, and your data remains on your device itself. And, this is what Paolo Ardoino meant by 100% privacy.

As of now, the QVAC Health app supports Apple, Oura ring (smart ring), and Google Health, where users can connect the app to these wearables.

QVAC Health app tracks your health patterns

The AI-driven health app can monitor health metrics like sleep patterns, heart rate, activity levels, and more. QVAC Health evaluates all this data and provides related answers and insights. The app can also retrieve your health data from other health apps and devices.

One important point users should be aware of is that the app does not provide any medical advice. The platform’s official statement reads: “QVAC Health does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Any insights or information presented within the app are for general informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical judgment.”

From counting stablecoin volume to stepping into AI-driven health

Tether is the largest stablecoin issuer in the world. The firm saw its USDT stablecoin surging in volume with wider adoption, especially during the overall stablecoin volume spike in 2025. Amid this uptrend comes Tether’s expansion beyond the stablecoin niche; the QVAC Health app launch signals its significant presence in AI and health.
