A thoughtful childhood fueled by curiosity

Luka Lamaj grew up in a loving family where honesty and loyalty were considered sacred. A quiet, introspective child, he preferred staying indoors, reading, watching movies, and exploring ideas rather than playing outside or engaging in sports.

“I didn’t like what most kids enjoyed. I wasn’t into sports or even games,” he says. Instead, his passions centered on psychology, philosophy, history, science, the arts, and music. These early interests laid the foundation for his wide intellectual pursuits later in life.

The anxiety of too many choices

As Luka matured, his broad interests created a new kind of challenge—what philosophers call the *anxiety of freedom*, a term popularized by Søren Kierkegaard. “It’s the discomfort that comes with realizing the vast freedom and responsibility of choosing your path,” he explains.

Still, he remained guided by childlike wonder. “Everything in a human being starts from childhood,” Luka says, quoting Leonardo da Vinci: “Always be as curious as a child.”

    From science to storytelling

Luka studied biochemistry at university, but his first entrepreneurial move wasn’t scientific—it was creative. At 21, he launched a podcast called “Cool Historians”. Though it wasn’t financially successful, it marked the beginning of his journey as a creator.

Later, he worked in geopolitics with NATO. But something still felt incomplete. “I was doing a lot of things but lacked laser focus,” he says. “I hadn’t found that one thing I wanted to dedicate myself to.”

Merging passion and purpose in tech

His pivot to tech came from a deeply personal place. Luka’s mother, a family doctor, was suffering from burnout. To help, he started building a health-tech startup—Docere Health—that aimed to automate routine work for physicians.

In doing so, Luka taught himself to code and immersed himself in AI, health tech, and product design. This hands-on learning would later become crucial to his blockchain journey.

    A rocky introduction to crypto

Around this time, Bitcoin and Ethereum were gaining popularity. Luka’s roommates were enthusiastic, but he was skeptical. “To me, crypto was a space for people who didn’t understand the real world. None of the intellectuals I admired liked it.”

He admits that his perspective was shaped by others. “I believed what my professors believed—without doing my own research.” Eventually, Luka did invest in crypto, only to lose money. When the FTX collapse followed, it confirmed his worst fears. “I thought crypto was a scam. FTX just proved it to the haters.”

    A philosophical shift: Embracing decentralization

Everything changed when a friend—whom Luka jokingly calls the “Bulgarian Jason Statham”—explained the deeper philosophy of blockchain and decentralization.

“I fell in love with the concept—giving power back to the people. That’s true democracy,” Luka says. “It’s not just about currency. It’s about how we build trust in systems without needing to trust individuals.”

Introducing 3TV: A decentralized television platform

Luka’s latest and most ambitious project is 3TV —a decentralized TV channel built on the blockchain. “It brings together everything I’m good at—psychology, storytelling, tech, philosophy—into one focused vision.”

The core idea is simple but powerful: “Transparency”. Luka believes centralized media systems are prone to manipulation. “If you give me power and attention, I’m still human — I could be tempted to influence people. But with blockchain, everything is open. There’s no room for manipulation.”

Giving power back to the viewers

3TV isn’t just about content creation—it’s about content democracy. Luka envisions two types of viewers:

Active viewers, who can vote on programming using crypto tokens.

Passive viewers, who simply watch and enjoy.

This participatory model aims to decentralize decision-making in media, putting control directly in the hands of the audience.

A new face of Dubai’s creative future

Luka is now based in Dubai and sees the UAE as a fertile ground for innovation—beyond real estate and tourism. He plans to collaborate with crypto companies, creators, and event organizers to spotlight local talent.

“Dubai has incredible potential in music, literature, sports, and more. I want the world to see that it’s not just about skyscrapers—it’s about stories, culture, and innovation.”

    From doubt to disruption

Luka Lamaj’s journey—from a crypto skeptic to a blockchain pioneer—is a story of curiosity, courage, and transformation. Through 3TV, he aims to redefine how media is produced, owned, and consumed.

With a deep belief in transparency, decentralization, and collective creativity, Luka is proving that technology isn’t just about code—it’s about people, and the power to shape their own narratives.
