ETH targets $10,000 as gas limit hits record $45M and spot ETF inflows increase

On July 22, the Ethereum market experienced a surge in activity after the gas limit reached $41 million—an increment of almost 25% from $36 million back in February 2025. The Ethereum validators staged the “pump the gas” campaign in March 2024, demanding that the gas limit be increased to $45 million. The last time the gas limit increased to 36 million, the throughput increased between 15 and 18 transactions per second.

ETH spot ETF inflows increase

With the gas limit being increased, the investors’ confidence in Ethereum has spiked. The net inflow of assets in the ETH ETF spot market shot up to $141K yesterday from $79K, the day before, which is almost double. If there is more inflow in the coming days, then the institutions offering these ETFs will need to buy more ETH to back up their ETFs.

Will ETH hit $10,000 by end of 2025? 

According to Co-founder of BitMEX, Arthur Hayes Ethereum could hit $10,000 by the end of 2025. Speaking to a prominentcrypto media, Hayes, stated that ETH could hit $10,000 while its superior Bitcoin could hit $250,000 by the end of 2025.

Ethereum has broken out from the descending broadening wedge, and it is priced at $3,675, after gaining 16% duing the last week. As Ethereum loiters at just above the upper trendline after breaking out from a descending broadening wedge, the bears could pull the price back. As a matter of fact, the prices may go through a retracement as the Bollinger bands indicate that the market is overbought.

However, if the uptrend continues after ETH breaks out from the upper trendline, there is a high chance that the token could pass $5,000. The thesis behind the ETH prediction is based on how the market reacts after breaking out from the descending broadening pattern. The height of the breakout is a reciprocation of the height of lowest point of the lower wedge to its highest point.
