Binance, the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency exchange, is set to host a high-profile debate between Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and Peter Schiff during the Binance Blockchain Week 2025 at the Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai.

Binance Blockchain Week, the company’s flagship global event, brings together industry leaders and innovators to shape the future of blockchain and Web3. As the event takes shape and returns to Dubai for the second consecutive year, CZ, Binance Co-Founder and Giggle Academy Founder, and Peter Schiff, gold advocate and economist, will debate over the topic: ‘Bitcoin vs Tokenized Gold: The Future of Money’ during the Binance Blockchain Week 2025.
The debate is ideally branching from the discussion on X (formerly Twitter), where CZ questioned the ideas of Peter Schiff on tokenized gold, regarding its reliance on third-party custodians and referring to it as a “trust me bro” token. The discussion further escalated to Peter Schiff, challenging CZ to a debate on Bitcoin versus tokenized gold to discuss their differing views. CZ responded to it while suggesting that the Binance Blockchain Week 2025 as the stage for discussion.
“Binance Blockchain Week is designed to bring together the most influential voices in blockchain and finance. This debate between CZ and Peter Schiff perfectly embodies the spirit of critical analysis and innovation that our community demands,” said Richard Teng, CEO of Binance. “We look forward to hosting this dialogue, which will provide valuable insights for investors, innovators, and the broader industry.”
However, the following debate has been a topic of discussion for many global leaders. Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum co-founder, published his ‘Trustlessness manifesto’, suggesting the significance of decentralization in the system. The manifesto focused on the core idea of eliminating middlemen and a system that relies purely on mathematics, codes, and proofs, where the control is not exploited.
The event will witness groundbreaking conversations on blockchain, web3, and other emerging trends, highlighted by this debate on December 3 and 4, with other important speakers, including Michael Saylor, Brad Garlinghouse, and Lily Liu.
