Vitalik Buterin dumps $14,000 worth of memecoins

Ethereum’s co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, has made a notable move that has sparked discussion in the crypto community. Once again, Vitalik has offloaded his $15,420 worth of unsolicited CAT memecoins to the LiFi Diamond blockchain, according to on-chain data revealed by Lookonchain. As a result, he received $14,220 in USDC.   

The Ethereum executive sold a batch of 275 trillion of CAT tokens, which he received through airdrops. Earlier in March, he sold multiple memecoins, including 180.88 billion SHIB, 146.18 billion FML, 366.47 million AWESOME, and 7.17 billion VB. The total amount of memecoins he sold in the same month is approximately $139,000. Last year, he sold nearly 10 billion MOONDENG tokens worth $976,000.    

Following the sell-off, the crypto community on X rushed to respond, with some responding that Vitalik gets “a free airdrop of memcoin that even he doesn’t know.” Another X user wrote that the Ethereum co-founder knows how to turn memecoins into real value by selling them.
