DMCC unlocks new milestone: Adds Bitcoin.com to its Crypto Centre amid a surge in crypto entrants

Amid the growing number of companies joining the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre’s (DMCC) Crypto Centre, the firm has now welcomed Bitcoin.com, a crypto platform providing self-custodial products and news services. This move marks Bitcoin.com’s debut entry to Dubai, establishing its first headquarters in the MENA region in Dubai. Crypto Centre is DMCC’s specialized business hub in Dubai, created to support crypto and blockchain companies. 

What does Bitcoin.com’s entry to DMCC’s Crypto Centre mean?

Bitcoin.com has been one of the key global leaders in providing crypto education and self-custodial products. Its first MENA headquarters in Dubai indicates DMCC’s leading position as a major global hub for “Web3 and blockchain innovation,” read an official statement from DMCC. 

In the wake of this collaboration, Belal Jassoma, Director of Ecosystem at DMCC, stated that Bitcoin.com’s plans to establish its regional headquarters in the region signal the global pull of the Crypto Centre and the scale of opportunity that Dubai represents today. 

Meanwhile, Bitcoin.com CEO, Corbin Fraser said that Dubai has clear and progressive regulations, a fast-track licensing process, and a true love for innovation. Furthermore, he added: “DMCC in particular, stands out not only for its world-class infrastructure but also for the strength and depth of its crypto ecosystem.

In an interview with AltcoinDesk at Crypto Expo 2025, the DMCC executive had already signaled that the firm will onboard more companies in the future. The latest addition of Bitcoin.com makes the company join the already existing 650 blockchain and Web3 companies. At the moment, DMCC is home to 25,000 businesses, including crypto companies. 

Notable blockchain companies at DMCC Crypto Centre

On June 5, crypto exchange ByBit became an Ecosystem Partner for the DMCC Crypto Centre. Through this partnership, ByBit will provide financial support of AED 500,000 to new crypto businesses preparing to set up at the Crypto Centre. In a similar development, Solana Foundation’s collaboration with the Crypto Centre allows the ecosystem members to receive technical and business development support. Last month, blockchain security auditor Hacken started providing security solutions to the Crypto Centre ecosystem members.    

DMCC has been at the forefront of Web3 and blockchain adoption, alongside its established role in multicommodity trade. Interestingly, Dubai is also climbing stairs to achieve the crypto-friendly badge by frequently announcing Web3, AI, and crypto integration across various sectors of the country. Moreover, its firm regulatory framework, the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), is a significant initiative in the digital asset industry.
