Mango Network, a layer 1, multi‑VM, omni‑chain infrastructure, has recently announced to airdrop its MGO tokens from 5% of the whole token supply.

The tokens will be distributed to early users, testnet participants, and community contributors on the network. The airdrop that will commence on June 24 is their way of “thanking the community and users for their contributions.”

The Mango Network team wrote: “The number of points a user owns doesn’t directly determine their airdrop amount. Instead, points are weighted based on: high-quality testnet participation and community contribution roles”.

Who are the testnet participants and active community contributors?

Any individual who has joined the 45‑day Testnet Odyssey of Mango Network, which was from December 31, 2024, to February 14, 2025, is eligible to participate in the airdrop. In other words, these are the people who engage with a blockchain network to test new features, applications, or smart contracts before they go live on the mainnet.

Meanwhile, active community contributors are classified into different roles played by active users. This includes Mango OG, Mango Puree, Mango Ranger, Ambassador, Bard, Analyst, and Sapling.

Who is eligible for the airdrop?

To check the eligibility, each participant should connect their wallets to the eligibility checker feature on the platform and complete a three-step process to confirm and claim rewards. The tokens will be distributed in the order of claim. To start, users must verify their X accounts by linking them to Mango Network and following BeingDEX, an ecosystem partner of Mango Network.

And is that all? The users can confirm their airdrop, share, and claim their rewards as the claim window opens at 17:50 UTC on June 24. One important thing to underscore is, Mango’s airdrop is not based on point total; instead, it deploys a weighted system that qualifies participants based on the quality of their testnet activity and any community positions they hold.

As scams are increasing in the crypto realm, the Mango team has specifically asked participants to remain cautious of scams and trust only the notifications that come from the platform’s official channels.
